| After an entire semester of being in guitar class, I actually cared enough to learn a song. It was for the final, so I had motivation. I learned and memorized it in an hour the night before the final, and when we had the actual test, he only let me play the first 6 measures and stopped me. It was dumb as hell. If that wasn't enough of a let down, now that I finally had something to play, they took back the guitar they had let me borrow because the semester is over. Now I am even less interested in guitar.

| Since half a dozen people I know and see regularly now own DS systems, I finally bought one for myself. It's only the third I bought, and its actually for me this time. It's a cool limited edition gold DS with a Triforce on it, and it comes with the most recent Zelda DS game.

| IM fairly drunk, and Im watching whatever movies are on tv atm, and for some reason I think my childhood neighbor heather looks ridiculously similar to winona ryder, but instead of thinking of her as a celebrity lookalike, I think of her as a shoplifter.  Its weirder because as much as I remember, I dont really think she looks like winona ryder.
Anyway last I head she had a kid a year or so ago, and she is living next door again which is cool, but I havent seen her, since I dont really live next door, so I have seen the kid only a couple time and it has been with her dad, which is disillusioning since I have seen him with a kid since forever, since she was the kid saw him with. Anyway. I am kind of interested what thi kid looks likem but more than that I want to cath up with her. She used to be a pretty cool friend from 1st to 8th grade thats still more than 1/4 my life I have known her. I think I owe it to her to at least catch up. SAfter all I still am next door to her prtty often, andf I am trying to start up a community activity in her neighbothood, so why not//
IN OTHER NEWS I LEARNED HOW TO PUSH cAPS loc k to turn off unneccessary capitalization, whil I also walked down the block andfound new cats to play with sinc eth few I knew hace left or died. The newest one is named "bear bear" and regardless of how stupid his name is, he's really friendly and he is like a fuzy sylvester. He likes me so much he drools, which is kind of disconcerting, but hey, he's fluffy as hell. I have seen him a few times and one time there was a dead squirrel, which I think I poisoned with the squirrel poison that we have been using in the yard, but I heard his owner and a carpooler talking about how they liked thathe squirrel died, because it was ruining their fruit trees.
The squirrels are a real problem in the community, and they are the first animal in my entire life that I honestly feel like killing without remorse. They need thinning, because they are more of a burden than a rare occurance, which is very annoying. They dont look cute so much as ruin lawns and production.
If I had a week, where three of me got together and di whatever, we would kill all the squirrels that live nearby in 2 Days, and spend the other 5 laughing at the old lady that feeds them every day. Honestly, then only thing that keeps me from killing them is how stupid I would look if I climbed the tree after them.
On an entierly diefferent note, my friend Amy got her job back (the ont in Japan) The company that bought out her company has re hired her. I hope it works out. She says she intends to apply to schools as of the end of the year, so she isnt stuck t private companies again, which seems like a good idea. I hope it works outfor her.

I am going to try to start up a community music organization in my home neighborhood.
It would be for all past, present, and future singers and instrumentalists, from beginner to expert.
I would organize a database of participants by instrument, and by street, so neighbors could contact those who might participate in a band / small ensemble, or figure out what their neighbor's can play.
I would inform them of local events that I am informed of as a member of the MENC, and having contact with college and high school band s, as well as providing a forum for others to provide such information.
The main goal would be to provide a better sense of community in our neighborhood, while providing entertainment, and encouraging neighborhood activities (that we have none of at the moment).
Wouldn't you appreciate the roaming christmas carolers a bit more if you knew they weren't just some school going around random places, but people you knew?
No real ideas of what to do once I get going, but the idea is a good one, I think.
